The temples of Angkor are become a pre-requisite when we talk about trip to Cambodia. But the course of water, the villages of fishermen and farmers, the countryside dotted with rice paddies and palm trees, the landscapes of flooded forests, crafts, the beach and the wild islands are all elements that need to discover if you want to immerse yourself in the soul of the country and its people.
In this circuit, we offer you a wide range of activities to apprehend the hidden facets of the Khmer kingdom. You will meander across vast expanses of rice paddies to the green pulsing, you will travel along the fields of white lotus or even cross of quiet villages to the thatched roofs. Over the ballads, you will visit the pagodas to the golden buddhas, of small colorful markets and you get back in contact with the local populations, with the rural world Cambodian, pillar founder of the old Khmer kingdom.

Day 1
Arrival in Siem Reap - visit the Museum of Angkor
Arrival in Siem Reap airport, you will be picked up and transfer to your hotel. Free time for your leaisure or personal visit
According to the time of your arrival, we will arrange a visit to the museum of Angkor to give you a general view on the civilization and the Khmer art
Buffet Dinner at the local restaurant accompanied by a traditional dancing show of the Khmer: The Apsara dance. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
Siem Reap – Angkor wat – Angkor Thom
Departure in the morning for the visit of the wonderful temple of Angkor Wat, inscribed on the world heritage of humanity by UNESCO. With its soaring towers and its bas-reliefs unique, it is one of the monuments the most extraordinary ever conceived by the human mind, erected in the 12th century in honor of Vishnu. Compared to all the other temples, Angkor Wat is the most famous and the most majestic.
After lunch in town, visit of Angkor Thom starting by the terrace of the Leper King, platform which presents several admirable carved figures of Apsaras emerging out. Your tour continues along the terrace of the Elephants who hosted the pomp of the royal hearings and public ceremonies. Continuation to the south portal with the famous Bayon Temple, the enigmatic and enchanting temple composed of 54 gigantic towers decorated by 216 faces of Avalokiteshvara (Buddha of compassion). On the return path, you will also visit the With Ta Prohm, temple invaded by the jungle and discovered in 1860 by the French explorer Henri Mouhout.Return to your hotel. Free time.
Day 3
Siem Reap - hiking up to the group of Roluos
Walking: 3 hours
The morning hike through the Cambodian countryside up the temples of Rolous, chronologically the first of the Angkorian civilisation. After approximately 3 hours of walk, we arrive at the impressive Temple Bakong. We walk then in a splendid surrounding to the Temple of Preah Ko.
Then we walk approximately 6km through the countryside to achieve a new site since reopened shortly, the temple of Chao Srei Vibol. Then transfer by vehicle to the village of Dam Deck for a night in a traditional house.
Day 4
Dam Deck - Banteay Srei - Siem Reap
Transfer: 60km – 1.5 hours
We will go on foot and then by vehicle from village to village, through landscapes of banana, coconut trees and red soil up to Beng Mealea. The journey of this morning allows you to discover the peaceful ambience of life in Cambodia as well as the different trades: metalworking, hairdresser, farmer of palm trees to sugar, riziculteurs etc.
Visit of Beng Mealea, temple forgotten in the middle of an exuberant vegetation. This building is considered one of the most remarkable Khmer temples, to such a point that it would be a marquette of Angkor Wat.
In the afternoon, transfer by vehicle to the amazing temple of Banteay Srei, whose name means: "The citadel of women". This gem of pink sandstone contains remarkable lintels carved in incredible state of conservation. Then, visit the romantic temple Bantey Samre and return by car to Siem Reap. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
Siem Reap countryside
After the breakfast, we leave to the countryside in the West of Siem Reap (20km). Upon arrival at the village, greeting by the owner of a traditional house, and then we continue together to the local market to buy vegetables, fresh water fish, meat, spices.
Then return home to learn how to cook with our hosts. Lunch and then free time to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the village or for a blessing by Buddhist monks.
We take a walk through the countryside and watch the sunset on the rice paddies. Return to Siem Reap. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6
Siem Reap - Prek Toal – Battambang
Transfer: 180km – 4 hours
Option 1: Cruise up in Battambang (if the trip was held between June and November):
Transfer to Battambang in boat crossing the Tonle Sap Lake, the Sangker river along the natural reserve of Prek Toal, the sanctuary of birds, and in passing through a flooded forest (the trip lasts between 6 and 8 hours of motor boat, depending on the season). We will arrive to a floating village where the population lives of fishing on the lake. Picnic luch. Arrival to Battambang in end of day. Installation at the hotel. Night at Battambang
Option 2: if the trip takes place between December and may:
Crossing of Lake Tonle Sap, visit the natural reserve of Prek Toal where there are a lot of birds from november. This reserve, known for its unique landscapes of flooded forest, is the place of lived by the fishermens who live in floating villages. Depending on the level of the water, this reserve can be visited by small boat with rowing machine. In mid-afternoon, departure by road to Battambang. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7
Battambang Visit
Agricultural products of the country: rice, coconut, oranges…Stop in the very colorful market, before the visit of the small museum and of the Damrei Sâ pagoda which is one of the most beautiful pagoda in the country.
Excursion up to Prasat Banon in following the course of the Sangker river in the middle of a green nature. Prasat Banon or "banana hill" is a nice temple perched at the top of the hill, "368 steps to climb with roped fans" .Overnight at hotel in Battambang.
Day 8
Battambang – Pursat – Kampong Chnang – Phnom Penh
Transfer: 290km – 7 hours
Departure from Battambang to the small town of Pursat located half way to Phnom Penh, we will adapt the departure time depending on what you want to do during this day.
A Pursat visit during an hour of Kompong Luong in motor boat. This amazing floating city of nearly 12000 inhabitants, mainly of Vietnamese origin, moves by following the level of the lake.
Continuation to Phnom Penh passing by the province of Kompong Chnang, famous for its pottery and its cham communities. Visit to a village of potters.
A 36 km before arriving in Phnom Penh, visit of the most beautiful pagoda of this province located at the foot of the hill of Oudon (former capital of Cambodia from the 17th to the 19th century).
Day 9
Phnom Penh visit
Today is for the discovery of Cambodian Capital. Visit to the Royal Palace and the splendid Silver Pagoda, and then the National Museum of Fine Arts, architectural masterpiece containing beautiful parts that once adorned the temples that we know today.
Day 10
Phnom Penh - Koh Kong
You will leave Phnom Penh in the morning. Some stops on the way give you the leisure moment and relax. The col of Pich Nile is the place where the roads diverge toward the Bokor or the National Park of Kirirom, and the place is littered with incense and altars.
You will leave the RN4 to catch up to the new national road 48 in the direction of the west and Koh Kong, passing by the small port of SRE Ambel. The road trace among beautiful tracts of jungles, offering some beautiful panoramas of the Cardamom Mountains. You will stop on the way to a local lunch, before discovering the pretty cascade of Ta Tai. There is at the foot of the waterfall many places conducive to bathing.
You arrive in Koh Kong in the afternoon and will be installed in the hotel. You can spend the rest of the day to enjoy the sea and the beaches of the gulf of Siam.Overnight at hotel.
Day 11
Koh Khong – Sihanoukville
You will leave Koh Kong after breakfast and depart by speed boat through the mangroves, and you may find monkeys, rare birds or even of harbor porpoises. And then you quickly get the sea of the gulf of Siam and will continue your navigation up to the deserted island of Koh Kong, one of the larger islands of the region. You will discover this virgin atoll and its white sandy beaches, and can enjoy a barbecue seafood for lunch. After a few hours spent to relax, you go back Koh Kong in the afternoon and then transfer by road to Sihanoukville.
Day 12
Sihanoukville
The morning is for a boat trip to discover a beautiful island little frequented by tourists. Lunch on the island with seafood.
In the afternoon, return to Sihanoukville and departure for the visit of the cascades of Kbal Chay. Return to your hotel at the end of the afternoon. Free time to enjoy the beach.
