Day 1
Lao Cai – Ma Tra - Lu Khau - Ta Phin
( Distance: ~ 10 km / Time . 3-4 h)
upon arrival in Lao Cai railway station, you will be welcomed by the guide and driver. Discover the richness of the Dao culture through this amazing ride. This ride is open to all and runs through the middle of the rice terraces valleys Ma Tra and Ta Phin. Your hosts, a Dao family will welcome her home to share a meal and night. You can take a soothing herbal bath Dao after the meal.
Day 2
Can Ho - Ho Phin - Suoi Thau
( Distance: ~ 15 km / Time . 5-6 h)
During the second day , you will go on the Northern Trails in isolated areas and still very authentic. A long day but not too difficult unless the roads are slippery from rain. Meals and overnight in the village of Dao Suoi Thau.
Day 3
Kim Ngan - Giang Ta Phin
( Distance: ~ 15 km / Time . 4-5 h)
Departure in the morning for the second day of walking in nature. Beautiful mountain landscapes available to you throughout the journey. Check the small village of Ta Giang Phin in the afternoon. Accommodation and meals in a shelter run by the village mayor.
Day 4
Phin Ho - Nam Pung
( Distance: ~ 13 km / Time . 4 h)
Breakfast finished, you will go back to the middle of the rice terraces, towards the town Ha Nhi Nam Pung. Crossing rivers with if the weather permits, the ability to swim. Arriving at the village in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in a family Ha Nhi.
Day 5
Pa Cheo - Muong Hum – Lao Cai
( Distance: ~ 16 km / Time . 4-5 h)
Easy walk in the morning. Crossing very authentic villages, all away from mass tourism. Arrange your schedule to finish this last day on Sunday as the weekly Muong Hum market is held every week. Return to Sapa by car.Opportunity to take a shower before taking transportation that will take you to Lao Cai to take the night train to Hanoi.
